The project aims to enhance the competitiveness of livestock enterprises through the integration of innovative technologies, circular economy principles, and strategies focused on environmental sustainability, animal welfare, and production quality. The research focuses on the use of bioactive molecules obtained from by-products and co-products of agri-food supply chains, such as the wine and olive oil sectors, for the formulation of sustainable functional feeds. Owing to their antioxidant, immunomodulatory, and anti-inflammatory properties, these compounds may contribute to improving animal health, reducing antibiotic use, and limiting antimicrobial resistance. The application of Precision Livestock Farming systems and digital tools will enable the monitoring of animal welfare, feed efficiency, and environmental impact. The expected outcomes include the optimization of farm management, increased profitability, improved production quality, and the strengthening of sustainable and circular production models. My ideal job would be a researcher in biotechnology because I enjoy solving complex problems and contributing to human health. For example, I would like to develop innovative therapies, such as cell-based treatments, to help patients with difficult diseases. This job would also allow me to work in a team, learn continuously, and transform scientific knowledge into real medical progress.
